Why we exist

The crisis
demanding a response.

Burkina Faso has become the epicenter of one of the world's least-reported humanitarian emergencies. Armed conflict, mass displacement, and food insecurity have left a generation of children without families, without schools, and without anyone counting them.

These are not statistics. They are children. The numbers below represent the scale of the need we are responding to.

From the Founder

A calling that wouldn't let go.

Some of the clearest moments of my life have come on the back of a Harley. Riding is my meditation — and even back in my twenties, out on the open road, I knew I wanted to spend my life helping people. I built a career in worldwide logistics, but I always felt I wasn't yet following my true calling.

The turning point came through family. When Therese and I traveled to Burkina Faso to visit her family in Ouagadougou, I saw firsthand what conflict and poverty do to children — and how many are left with no one. This time, I didn't just hear the calling. I answered it.

Five years of quiet, self-funded groundwork later, Haven Harbor Heritage is real: three properties secured, 501(c)(3) status granted, and a promise to every child we will serve — you are safe here.

"I'm just a guy with a dream. And we can build it together."
